282 Capital · A division of 282 Collective
An investment and strategic advisory firm serving business owners, private investors, and family offices. We advise quietly, act deliberately, and remain long after the transaction closes.
IThe Firm
282 Capital is the investment and strategic advisory division of 282 Collective. We work with a limited number of owners, investors, and operating partners on decisions that carry consequence — the sale of a company, the recapitalization of an asset, the formation of a partnership meant to last.
Our mandate is narrow by choice. Fewer engagements allow for the judgment, discretion, and continuity our clients expect. We measure our work in relationships sustained rather than volume transacted.
IICapabilities
01
Confidential representation for owners preparing to transition a company built over decades.
02
Position, hold, or reposition — guidance grounded in the fundamentals of each asset and market.
03
Disciplined marketing and negotiation for income-producing and opportunistic assets.
04
Sourcing and structuring capital from relationships cultivated over the long term.
05
Alignment of sponsors and capital partners around clear economics and shared conviction.
06
Oversight that protects an asset's character and its owner's intent across market cycles.
07
Composition, concentration, and liquidity reviewed against objectives, not against fashion.
08
Operational and financial counsel for companies approaching an inflection point.
09
A single, accountable advocate at the table for the duration of a transaction.

III Investment Philosophy
Capital is a responsibility before it is an opportunity. We allocate it slowly, with regard for what it is meant to sustain.
We underwrite conservatively and decline more often than we proceed. The absence of a transaction is frequently the correct outcome.
Structures endure when incentives are honest. We establish alignment among partners before economics are negotiated.
Our clients hold across cycles. Advice given with a decade in view differs materially from advice given for a quarter.
IVIndustries Served
Depth in a defined set of industries allows us to underwrite with confidence and to introduce counterparties who are genuinely qualified.

VIWhy 282 Capital
Sensitive matters are handled without publicity. We disclose only what a transaction requires, and only to those it requires.
The principals who accept an engagement are the principals who execute it. Nothing is delegated downward once trust is extended.
Capital partners, operators, and counterparties are introduced because they are right for the situation — not because they are available.
We remain engaged after closing. Ownership questions rarely conclude with a signature, and neither does our involvement.
VII Investment Process
We begin with the owner, not the asset. Objectives, obligations, timing, and the people affected by the outcome.
Underwriting, market context, and structural options are examined before any position is taken publicly.
We design the path — capital, counterparties, and sequencing — with contingencies considered in advance.
Negotiation is conducted quietly and deliberately. Discretion is a condition of the work, not a courtesy.
The relationship continues past closing. Most of our work originates with people we have advised before.
